Dipak Chattaraj, Director. On August 2, 2011, Dipak Chattaraj was appointed to the company’s board of directors. Mr. Chattaraj was formerly the chairman of Ranbaxy USA, a global generic pharmaceutical company. With over 35 years of global experience, Mr. Dipak Chattaraj has played a key role in Ranbaxy’s global expansion, specifically in the US markets development. Mr. Chattaraj joined Ranbaxy in 1991and in 1996 he assumed responsibility for Ranbaxy’s U.S. operations. Mr. Chattaraj, who holds a Masters degree in Economics, recently retired as Ranbaxy’s President, Corporate Development.
Dr. Nelson Hendler M.D, Dr.Hendler is a 1966 cum laude graduate of Princeton. He received an MD and a MS in neurophysiology from University of Maryland, in 1972 and 1974, and did his residency training in psychiatry at Johns Hopkins Hospital from 1972 to 1975. Dr. Hendler was Assistant Director of the Pain Treatment Center of Johns Hopkins Hospital, and was Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine for over 30 years. He has published three books, 33 medical textbook chapters, and 58 articles. He was past president of the Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy Association of America, and of the American Academy of Pain Management. He has, by invitation, lectured in Saudi Arabia, Japan, Philippines, India, Argentina, Venezuela, Norway, and in over 50 medical schools and hospitals in the United States, including Cornell, Uni. of Chicago, Mayo Clinic, Uni. of Conn., New Jersey College of Medicine, University of Maryland, and Johns Hopkins Hospital. He also has served on the board of two public companies, Columbia Bank, and LifeCo.
Dr. William Prout, William F. Prout is a registered patent attorney with expertise in a wide range of chemical patent practice including preparing a wide range of documents including applications, opinions, licenses and patent prosecution. Areas of expertise include drug formulations, drug delivery systems, pharmaceuticals, vaccines, medical treatments, polymers, paints, nutraceuticals and catalysts, including related opinion and licensing matters. He received his B.S. in Chemistry from DePaul University, and received his Masters in Chemistry. He received his Ph.D. from Loyola University of Chicago in Organic Chemistry, specializing in natural product synthesis. He received his law degree from the John Marshall School of Law in Chicago, Illinois. He has worked as a patent agent at the B.F. Goodrich Company in Akron, OH, Abbott Laboratories in North Chicago, IL, and at Darby & Darby in New York, NY, and as a patent attorney in Minneapolis, MN.
